The Eureka Chamber & Development has recently come into life as a result of the merge of the Eureka Community Development Company and the Eureka Chamber of Commerce.  Both non-profit groups have been helping Eureka for decades.

As ECD moves forward their goal will be to bring about growth and improvement to Eureka.

They will do this by working with existing, new, and expanding businesses through loans from a revolving loan fund, business planning, business consultations, financial referrals, workforce development and marketing.  

ECD provides a copy service to local organizations, businesses, & citizens alike.   ECD maintains this website, the Eureka Facebook page, the electric sign on Highway 10.   As well as, sponsoring main community events to promote business and tourism. 

Besides the above-mentioned things, the Eureka Community Development Co. led efforts in 1999 and 2000 to have kuchen named as South Dakota’s official state dessert. Following that designation, Eureka had three retail businesses producing kuchen.
